Park Venues
Western Gateway Park is a great place to hold your events such as weddings, baby showers, bridal showers, anniversary parties, birthday parties, celebrations of life, family reunions, graduation parties, retirement parties, non profit fundraisers, concerts, annual picnics and more.
The park has several beautiful locations for weddings: the Peirce Stage Pavilion, the Amphitheatre, the Buttermaker's Cottage and the Four Creek Sites. The Buttermaker's Cottage , the Peirce Stage Pavilion and the Four Creek Sites are also great reception venues.
The Cottage offers heat/AC, a full kitchen, bathroom, eight 8' long tables, fifty plus folding chairs and large covered porch. The Cottage also has a large screen TV which can be connected to a lap top for special viewing purposes.
The Stage Pavilion has a large shaded concrete stage area, electricity, lighting, bathrooms and separate 'green rooms' for the bride and bridesmaids and groom and groomsmen. There are two sets of stairs in the front and one in the back of the stage.
The Amphitheatre features a shady, natural setting with wood benches surrounding a concrete base fitted with electricity. This area is also used for graduation ceremonies.
The Four Creeks Sites consists of four separate picnic areas which can be reserved together for large events such as weddings, church picnics, annual gatherings, family reunions and more. This site also features a playground area that has been recently retrofit. Two of the picnic areas are situated along Squirrel Creek, with the other two being on the shady side of this creekside area. There are plenty of picnic tables and BBQ grills for large party events.
Picnic Areas #1 and #2 are adjacent and create an excellent covered outdoor venue that seats 72 adults comfortably and offers a shaded area, electricity, water and BBQ grills. This is a great area for large parties, family reunions, celebrations of life, etc.
The Solar Array is another large, shaded picnic area with an ample concrete base. This is located right next to the main parking lot and near both the main restrooms and the Bocce Ball courts. Typically there ar three picnic tables under the Solar Array but the park has up to six more that can be added for events.
